  Tender for an Implementer of a Social Marketing Programme in Belize
   
The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) is the recipient of German Financial Cooperation funds via KfW for a regional Social Marketing Program for HIV/AIDS Prevention in the Caribbean. The program objectives are to improve the supply of low-priced high quality condoms and other health products for target group(s), and to increase the preventive knowledge, attitudes and behaviors among the target population(s).

CARICOM has delegated the selection and subcontracting of national implementing consultants to Options Consultancy Services (Options). Options is requesting submission of proposals from potential implementers for a Social Marketing Program in Belize.  The Terms of Reference, Evaluation Criteria and other detailed information are available for download at the bottom of this page. 

Tender Status: Open until October 23, 2006

Subject to the availability of funds, Options intends to provide up to Euro 300,000 for this activity.

The Program start date is expected to be on or about November 2006 and will last for about 18 months with an option to extend for an additional six months for a proposed period of performance not to exceed twenty-four months.

The deadline for submission of proposals is Monday October 23, 2006, 17:00 local time in London, United Kingdom. Any bids/proposals turned in after the closing date and time will be rejected and returned unopened. Any questions concerning this Tender should be submitted in writing via email to Rachel Kirk at r.kirk@options.co.uk. The latest date for receipt of questions regarding this Tender is COB September 22, 2006. No questions will be accepted after this date and time.  Answers to bidder questions will be posted on this site on September 27, 2006.

The period for receipt of questions from proposed offerors on the Tender for Belize has expired. No questions were received by the September 22, 2006 deadline.


Bidders are reminded that the base period for program activities is 18 months with a six-month option period which may be exercised. The total amount allocated for the 24 month budget is €300,000.

Special Note: The selected Social Marketing Organization (SMO) will be expected to attend the Consultative Monitoring Group meeting and the PANCAP Annual General Meeting from November 8, 2006 to November 10, 2006, in Tortola, British Virgin Islands. Air fare and per diem for one representative to attend these conferences should be included in the proposed budget.
