This report presents results from a process of qualitative research and data synthesis carried out with male and female youth aged 15-19 years in two bateyes (Estrellas and Yabacao) in the Dominican Republic (DR). This study aimed to gather information to help design a behaviour change communications campaign for HIV prevention, targeting young people in the bateyes in the age group 15-19 years. It highlights key issues amoung the target group including condom use and attitudes, behaviour and practices related to sex.
